Artist Biography

Mosesee Pootoogook (male; b:1977); Inuit sculptor; Cape Dorset, Nunavut, Canada.

Mosesee comes from a family of well-known Cape Dorset artists. His father, Paulassie, and eldest brother, Arnakadlak, are both sculptors. Mosesee began sculpting at the age of 11, with instruction from his father.
