Selected Past Exhibitions - 2018

An exhibition of Trudeau’s visionary mixed media collages from the 1970s, drawn from his life spent almost entirely on Manitoulin Island and contemporary artist Jim Logan’s dark humanist paintings that, while affectionate and sometimes humorous, also speak to the need for restoration of identity and self-awareness within Canadian Indigenous communities. Presentation at 2 pm on Saturday December 8 by multi-disciplinary artist and curator Barry Ace who will speak about Trudeau’s work and legacy. Ace is a band member of M’Chigeeng First Nation, Manitoulin Island and is an accomplished and award-winning writer and educator.
