Julius Damasdy

Artist Biography - (1937-2020)

Julius Damasdy is a Hungarian-Canadian painter and sculptor. He was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1937 and immigrated to Canada in 1957. He enrolled in the Ontario College of Art and graduated with honours in 1964. That same year, he was awarded the Eaton Foundation Travelling Scholarship and the Governor General's Award.

His work can be found in such collections as the Art Gallery of Ontario, Sony Canada, Hewlett Packard, the Government of Alberta, Yamaha Motor Co, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and IMB Canada.
